It's 12 days before I leave for across the atlantic and thought I should stretch my legs... well fingers. This is not my first time traveling but it will be my longest stay so I am definitely nervous. I always knew I wanted to study abroad in college. I fell in love traveling in high school and it has evolved through the years. So here's a little glimpse into my passport past...
My first out of homeland experience was when I was 14, I went on a 10-day summer school trip to London and Paris.
(Yeah... no way I am showing you a close-up of me at this age, so here is my group!)
I loved the trip. It was great to see different cultures, even if they were in cosmopolitan cities like New York or Boston. It was still an eye opening experience that gave me my first taste of the adventure the world could offer.
The next summer I took it a bit farther. I did an immersion in San Sebastian, Spain.

I spent 4 weeks living with a host family in the city and took Spanish at a local school. The most stressful time of my entire high school career was my first 48 hours in San Sebastian. It was the biggest culture shock. But after a week san Sebastian felt like home and I would go back and live there forever if I could.
After my venture in Spain, I didn't travel to Europe for four years until this past Thanksgiving. My best friend, Chelsea, was studying abroad in Paris for the semester and with some frequent flyers miles I jetted out there to spend some much needed time with my life long friend.

And since Chelsea has the taste for traveling like I do (one of the many reasons she is my best friend) she found us some cheap tickets to Madrid and I spent the weekend reuniting with Spain.

Traveling with Chelsea made me so excited to go abroad and embark on my own adventures, I just can't believe it's only 12 days away!
Hmm hope that wasn't too bad for my first post :)
