February 14th... the day of love and cupid. But known by most of the college population as Singles Awareness day. Now back in the states most girls sans a fella' may take this stance on the hallmark holiday...
But not us London girls... we decided the only appropriate thing to do was to prepare a delicious meal to ease those Valentine woes.
Allie's idea to have an Anti- Valentine potluck with just us ladies turned into the most delicious study break I have ever had.
First course was veggies, salad, mac n cheese, garlic bread and a bit of chicken.. and we were not done there.
Next up we had some pizza, wine and a delicious Greek veggie Lasagna
Yes, it was as good as it looks |
And on anti valentine's day... watching your figure is not an option
All the plates licked clean |
The damage |
But BU does not believe in Valnetine's day either... thus the exams. I had my PR exam tomorrow but still have Modern British Lit tomorrow and two finals research papers. But one looking thought keeps me going..
Backpacking with this girl..
To the land of this flag.
Because Jenny and I leave after exams tomorrow this will be my last post before I leave for Italy. I literally cannot wish this hours to go by fast enough. Italy has always been number one on my bucket list and I can't believe I am finally getting a taste of it... literally.
I must go back to studying but if you have ANY suggestion of things to see in Florence and Rome, leave a comment!
Ciao
Be sure to eat at Aqua Al Due in Florence. Order the pasta sampler and the blueberry steak. I promise you - it's the best place to eat ever. =]
ReplyDeleteAnd climb to the top of the Duomo in Florence. It's over 400 steps and kind of scary to climb but SO worth the view.
