... yes I am a 20 year old girl who still has her mother help her pack and I am not ashamed. I did spend the day packing the smaller essentials.
Now I am no professional.. but this it just my opinion on the necessities of a semester abroad:
Money! My Christmas present from my brother was a card full of pounds. I think its necessary to have the currency of country before you go over incase you need it all the airport.
My Aunt gave me a nice passport case for Christmas. Which I never even thought of
It has room for your passport, credit cards and money. Everything a girl could need!
WOAH A PICTURE OF A CAMERA HOW DID I DO THAT??
I am really into photography, so I saved up for two years and got this an Olympus E 520. I definitely want to take nice scenic shots with it in Europe. But fancy camera and Euro bars don't mix so I bought a little point n' shoot for Christmas.
A good solid shoulder bag which helps with pick-pocketing in parts of Europe. This bag is extra awesome because...
IT HAS BABIES!
Planner...
This is a planner form Vera Bradley. It has a lot of space to write down information which is great for keeping tracking of information for my trips!
London= Rainboots.
I really wanted a pair that looked like nice riding boots so I could wear them to work. Luckily I found these babies 40% off at Banana Republic.
Everyone SWEARS by this travel book. Chelsea and I used it in Madrid and its great! It has all local sites and places to eat and visit on a budget.
Finally, my awesome orange backpack meant for backpacking all around Europe! I could fit about 4 large puppies in this bag. Its perfect for jetting around Europe with a single carry-on.
Well that's the small essentials. Anything else I need?
I need to go see a man about some major packing. My friend Elyse gets in tomorrow ( Fingers crossed the snow doesn't cause any problems!!)
Then she and I fly out Saturday night! I am SOOOOO excited.
