Today I had my first class and my meeting with the internship placement people. Classes here are set up a bit crazily. We have two classes for the first 5 weeks that meet twice a week in 4-hour time incriminates. I am taking an English class for my minor and a PR core class right now. Today I had my core class. It was interesting to hear things from such a different perspective since I have been studying this subject for 2 1/2 years. Our professor has such different view of PR. I am not sure how much of it I agree with, but it's definitely interesting.
I also met with my internship people who are SO helpful. My first internship got canceled and it's taken a bit of time to find one I like. But today I found out I got an offer from the promotions sector of DISNEY! I am a child at heart, so I am so incredibly excited and nervous for my formal interview. Fingers crossed!
Well enough with that time for some fun things. The first two days here, it didn't really hit me that I was in another country across an ocean. Luckily BU had just the cure for my denial in the form of a boat tour down the river showing all the sites.
Waiting for the boat. Let's play spot the American student tourists!
We saw all the necessary London sites
Hi Benny!
Parliament
Our final destination was Greenwich, UK which was quite lovely. This is the college there... yeah college. SMG isn't looking so good right now.
And they pay lower tuition than us...
Yesterday, a few friends and myself went to the natural history museum which is literally down the street.
Not a bad neighbor to have huh?
We got there in the late afternoon so we only had time for the animal wing. But all museums are free in London so we can go back again and again. I am a huge museum junkie so I can't get enough of it.
Sasha and me outside the museum
Beautiful entry way... with a little bit of fossils
Boys just wanna have fun... with tusks
I think I found my long lost ancestor...
Animal room... just chillin' with a blue whale. Standard.
While tourist attractions are fun and necessary, nothing is better than getting in some local culture. We have seen lots of small areas ad great local dining places. And of course the pub culture here is fantastically fun to indulge in...modestly ;) (Don't worry mom)
We checked out one fun club called Roxy Rehab in the very fun and trendy SoHo... to indulge in some fun London nightlife.
Dancing all night
Jenny and Lindsay!
Friends since the first day freshman year!

What a lovely bunch...
It was a very fun night. And it made London seem more like my new temporary home and not some place I was just vacationing to on some school trip.
The Brits are also very fun people. I LOVE their humor. It's all very witty and dry. Every British man I have met has cracked some kind of sarcastic comment.
For your viewing pleasure, Bryan showed me a hilarious skit from the British SNL equivalent. It captures British humor to a tee!
Well I am off to clean and perhaps do Natural History Museum round two!
Cheers
I look forward to reading your posts! Have fun :)
